Lead-Nursery-Teacher – Ms. Shannon

Welcome to the nursery! My name is Shannon and I am the lead teacher in the nursery. I am the mother of a very active three year old boy who is also enrolled here at Scottsville Road Baptist Preschool. I love working with children and watching them grow and learn.

I am originally from Middlesboro, Kentucky and I moved to Bowling Green in 1999 to attend Western Kentucky University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology in 2004. I returned to WKU in 2007 and completed my Master of Arts in Exceptional Education in May 2009.

I am looking forward to welcoming your child to our nursery and getting to know you!

Assistant-Teacher – Ms Rebekah

Hello! My name is Ms. Rebekah and I am the assistant teacher in the Nursery. I grew up in Allen Country and I now live there with my husband. My dad pastor’s at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Allen Co and my mom is the GED director in Allen Co. I have one brother and would not trade my family for anything.

I have always loved being with kids, especially babies. Working in the nursery is a blessing and so rewarding to me. I cannot imagine doing anything else!

Afternoon-Teacher– Ms Joyce

Welcome to the Nursery! My name is Joyce, and I have been with the preschool for a little over three year now. It has been a pleasure to get to know the babies and parents and to see them grow up and move onto another class. It is hard to lose them but it is part of the process of growing up. To tell you a little about myself, I was born and raised in Glasgow in a Christian home. I am an only child, but I have two children of my own, a son and a daughter. They are grown now.

As a parent myself, I know it is hard to leave your babies to go to work but to know they are taken good care of means a lot. I have always been a caring and passionate person and do my best in caring for your child. Please feel free to come to me with anything you may need. I am here to help in any way possible.
